T! Suckas: FOX 6 News

FOX 6 News is just sad. I can't even believe that they are allowed to call it news. Why anyone would care about the sun being potentially bad for your eyes (who didn't already know that?) or how well the latest crap product (that no one will buy) works is beyond us. Don't get us wrong, all network news stations do stuff like this, but not on nearly as large a scale as FOX 6. What is even less feasible, is that they win a bunch of AP awards. Scary.

Why is FOX 6 News a sucka?
  • They have useless stories.
  • They aren't news.
  • The main focus on their weather is the wind direction over the next three days.
  • They test useless products.
  • They summarize the day's sports in about 30 seconds.
  • They have a special desk for every kind of story.

Perhaps Jorgy put it best on November 18, 2001 when he said, "This pitiful newscast gave little, if any, real news and focused primarily on entertainment with little overall purpose for the newscast at all. Not to sound prejudiced towards FOX 6, but I actually feel dumber and upset that I wasted 35 minutes of my life on that 'newscast.' In a 35 minute block, roughly 5 minutes were devoted to local, state, or national news. The stories with the least emphasis were the murders in Milwaukee. Even the 90 second segment on the war in Afghanistan provided no news. The primary focus of the newscast dealt with the Packers loss to the Falcons. Also, a large portion dealt with weather that claimed to give the exact temperature at a specific time tomorrow and gave a 7 day forecast. This is all nearly pointless because the weather is always changing and by tomorrow these numbers will be obselete. There was even a three minute segment where FOX 6 tested a fat burning drug that miserably failed. However, the most obscene number was the over 13 minutes of commercials. If given the choice, I would rather bang my head against a wall for 35 minutes rather than watch the miserable excuse for news."
